For someone who pays for Sicius FM for my car and DirectV at home, it's good to have a competitive audio service.
Paying for Mel's some old crud twice gets very old.
Do you really believe that was XM you were listening to? Come on man. XM has been dead for two years.
SonicTap Latin Jazz is almost a good as LUNA, which XM killed before the merger. LUNA was terrific, but it's long gone.
Been listening to SonicTap "Hallelujah" for the first hour. The selection is enLighten, so far.
Thanks DirectV (as if they read this silly stuff). Goodbye Mel. _________________ Jesus paid the price so I wouldn't have to...and couldn't. John 3:16

I'm absolutely amazed that every business move the company makes is proof that Armageddon is next week. _________________ Please read my music blog at http://bloggerhythms.blogspot.com |

They don't even include the Holiday channel unless you subscribe to their best package |

Doesn't have to be--Best way to be sure would be if the Merger was revoked and Mel removed from control. |

| I don't have DirecTV, but I'd suggest that all you Mel-haters reserve judgment on MusicTap's programming until you've given it a week and seen its depth of playlists and levels of repetition compared to XM's. Yes, you're probably going to be hearing tracks -- and even entire genres, like Latin jazz -- that Sirius XM ignores, but if each channel is only playing 500 or 600 tracks, you're going to be pining for the good old days of, um, last week pretty soon! |

| I didn't give it a week. I switched to Dish this afternoon. Very disappointed in the Red White and Blue channel, among others that direct tv now has. I like xm far better. |

I wouldn't switch to Dish just to get the Sirius XM channels. I am sure those will be gone soon. _________________ The one and only, XMFan.com!

Because of cost cutting by Mel, or viewer/listener complaints about the constant promos, DJ gab or "obscure" music? |

I'm now listening to The Spirit on the new SonicTap service. It's gotta be better than Sicius-FM's The Message, which is FM at best.
Hallelujah may be an ok channel, but Enlighten might be better IMHO. I'm gonna miss that channel, and Escape, and Sirius-XM Pops.
Even the bluegrass channel might not match to Bluegrass Junction. But I don't know how to compare these channels.
My car subscription will be the next to go; tomorrow is the last day.
Goodbye Sirius-XM. Until Mel retires. I'll miss you. Parting is such sweet sorrow. _________________ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:6
The Message--Corporate excuse of a CCM station
Enlighten--4000+ songs!
50s on 5--Close but no cigar to the original format |

XM wasn't the only reason. My wife and I also like PBR and we almost switched last fall when Versus was dropped. I did not see the small paragraph on my last bill advising of the music switch and found out this am when I turned on the tv. I found this site, read the relative posts, called Direct tv, verified sirius/fm was no mas and called dish. Due to them " not being too busy today", they were able to come out this afternoon and have already installed their service. As far as Dish losing xm soon, you may be right, but I have it today. Satellite radio is a big reason I have outside speakers wired to my tv. Makes grillin' and porch sitting a whole lot better.
You are right, I didn't wait 12 hours. Why should I? And since we were with direct tv for several years, there was no penalty. |
